Constructed during the Spring and Summer of 2001 the Lansdown
Cement Works Project consisted of the slipforming of 2 no. 50m
high cement silos with concentric walls 9m and 16m diameter, 1
no. homogenising silo 16m diameter and 50m high and 1 no. clinker
silo 30m diameter and 39m high.
The silos
were slipformed consecutively using a single set of equipment
that, as a result of it's modular nature, was able to be reconfigured
to suit each different structure.
