Following on from our work at Drax Power Station, C. Spencer Ltd recently awarded us the contract to slipform a new Bio-Mass storage silo. The facility will handle up to 1.4million tonnes of Bio-Mass per year, for use at the co-firing Drax Power Station. |

Drax Power Station, North Yorkshire:
Drax is currently investing in the technology to co-fire coal and biomass materials.
The co-firing of biomass with coal is projected to reduce the emissions of CO2 by 15%.
Slipform International has been awarded the contract by C. Spencer Ltd. to slipform the two large 30m diameter silos, used for the storage of the biomass materials.
This development will enable the station to receive handle, store and process various biomass materials, before injection with coal in to the boilers. |
Mann Island, Liverpool:
Slipform International Ltd have been awarded the contract from UKR Ltd, for the slipforming of 3no. 55m high internal cores on the Mann Island project in Liverpool.
Main Contractor is Bam Nuttall.
